Happy Pi Day

π is commonly defined as the ratio of a circle's circumference C to its diameter d

Does that picture remind you of this picture?

It does as our house: We're eating quiche for breakfast, pizza for lunch, chicken pot pie for dinner, and apple die for dessert.

Any excuse to eat pie and have a party, right?

Now go eat some Pi and write on.

  2. Ha! I love the "not rounded" line in that song. Hehe. Now I want chicken pot pie AND apple pie, but I don't want to make it. Costco is calling...

    1. After you day Costco dinner sounds perfect:D And I agree, I laughed at that line. You can find the entire song-they sing out to a thousand digits on you tube-it's over 5 min. long

  3. I love pi day! We're kind of crazy this year, so sadly, no pie. But in years past we've had some fun pie day. Hope you guys enjoy it!

  4. One of these years I'm going to celebrate Groundhog's Day and Pi Day--not to honor strange animals or mathematical genius--but to honor YOU! <3 ya.

    1. *blushes* way to make my day. We had so much fun with our end of the world party Mayan style that I'm sad it doesn't come around every year;)

  5. Happy Pi Day!

Man, I could've watched Life of Pi tonight, that would've been cool, but it's 2 hours long and the last kid didn't go to bed until 9:30. Too late to start a movie. Oh well.

    1. I know, kids mess with all the plans:D This first day back at school would be fun to watch-even with the kids. Maybe we'll get this movie for next year. And Night at the Museum 2 with the Einstein bobbleheads singing Pi.

  6. I love your pi pie! It hadn't occurred to me that this day could serve as an excuse for indulging in yummy treats that are round---I'll have to remember that for next year!

    1. I hope you do. We have a ton of fun with this one. Celebrating obscure holidays is a favorite past time at the Hall house.

  7. Wish I would have read this yesterday so I could have insisted on pizza for dinner. And apple pie. That would have been more yummy than leftover chili.

    1. You could always wear togas and eat pizza today-a combination Ides of March and Pi Day. Poor Julius...
