Ketchup

Hello, hello? Is anybody still reading my blog besides IWSG Wednesdays?

I know, I've been awful.  I can blame it on the move, on my kids, on my new yoga studio, or I can just suck it up and admit that I've been having a down time. Writing has been hard. Subs have been hard.

But, I couldn't leave the blogging world. I missed you guys, and I've missed blogging.

So today I'm back with a whole lot of random. Some books I can't get enough of and should have shouted to the rooftops ages ago, new excitement at the Hall house, and one of my All-Time-Favorite Read's (yes, I needed those CAPS) sequel is out today. We HAVE to celebrate that.

Cassie Mae's FRIDAY NIGHT ALIBI. I requested this one from NetGalley and read it in two days. Hilarious and hot. FRIDAY NIGHT ALIBI is a great read. I'm still smelling oranges and thinking about Chase. And man could I handle living in Kelli's house with a pool in the basement and a window hot guys could crawl through (but I want parents that stick around too). This one will be read again. Light, funny, and clean sexy is my kind of book.

SEAN GRISWOLD'S HEAD. I know, I'm the last person on the planet to read this book, but I still had to say how impressed I am with Lindsay Leavitt. Her characters walked off the pages and into my life. Each time I get on my road bike and train for my triathlon, I think about Payton training and how wonderful a surprise it was to me that biking was a part of this story. (Remember I'm one of those crazy people who doesn't read dust jackets.) I loved this book so much I read GOING VINTAGE, as well. I'm still crushing on Oliver and his yarn ring to remember to forget. And again-all the orange. Hmm...I'm seeing a theme with my book loves.

Hall house excitement. Some of you might remember my hubbie's non-fiction (is anyone still reading after that word?) book releases October first. This week we received a box full of all these pretties.
We sure would appreciate it if you'd go and add it to your Goodreads To-Read List and share with any military families you might know:)

Last, but certainly not least, is the sequel to IMPOSSIBLE, one of my favorite books of all time. Happy release day to the lovely Nancy Werlin and her new book UNTHINKABLE. Did you guys fall for IMPOSSIBLE as hard as I did? I'll be staring out the window waiting for the UPS truck today.

Happy Friday the 13th, guys. And please tell me what you've been up to (I'm slowly catching up on blogs, but I've missed so much) and any new reads I should add to my TBR list, because UNTHINKABLE will be read in a day. Two if I want to feed my children.

  4. I think I've read IMPOSSIBLE more times than any other book. Funny thing is, I can't put my finger on why I love that book so much. I just do. It's also one of my all time favorite covers. So yeah, I'm pretty stoked about UNTHINKABLE.

  7. I haven't read Sean Griswold's Head either yet, so don't feel bad. This has been a hard writing time for me too. Too many things keeping me busy. We both just need to hang in there.

  10. I'll definitely pass on the world about your hubby's book. I hang out with a lot of Navy wives because I live in a Navy town. This would be perfect for them!

    1. Thanks, Emily. We sure would appreciate it! We just moved from a mostly Marine town (29 Palms) which, of course had lots of Navy, as well. Is your husband in a sailor?

  13. Once again, I'm amazed at how well-read you are. You're not the last person to read Sean Griwold's Head, because I haven't! I just read Divergent and Insurgent. That's how behind I am. Ah, well. I like to savor books over a few weeks, and if I'm lucky, devour them in a couple of days when life slows down. Congrats again to Stan and his book!
